Goals, milestones, dreams,
New Year Resolutions aplenty,
Run, jump, hop, and skip,
Any way to get there in a jiffy.
New Year to start afresh,
New Year to erase the tracks we once left,
Pushing through, moving forward,
But naught to learn if we don't look back.
If there is one thing I've gathered,
In the past one year,
Is not to take things in life for granted,
Especially those we hold most dear.
So, New Year Resolutions aplenty,
For twenty twenty one,
What would mine be?
Or, do I even have one?
Well, one I do have:
Deep down in my core,
I want to be a better me,
A better me than a year before.
